OER Creation Application

Thank you for applying for funding to create OER in the 2023-2024 academic year!


Program Requirements 1) Participate in community of practice gatherings to share knowledge, plans, and ideas. 2) A willingness to contribute to OER growth through such avenues as collegial consultations; participating in OER events; and/or supplying feedback for OER assessments. 3) Deposit any openly licensed material created, including syllabus, into the Mountain Scholar institutional repository or an appropriate open repository (e.g. Open Textbook Library, OER Commons, Merlot, Libretexts, etc.). 4) OER materials developed will be licensed with one of the following Creative Commons license of the grantee's choice: CC-0, CC-BY, CC-BY-NC, CC-BY-SA, or CC- BY-NC-SA. 5) Upon plan completion, write a narrative summarizing the challenges and accomplishments of your experience, any assessed impact on you and your students, and lessons learned (could be short or long-term).

Proposals will be reviewed for:

1) The potential for all or most of the adopted/adapted/created materials having the highest degree of openness possible. 2) Potential savings to students. 3) Capacity to improve student engagement and learning. 4) Accessibility and usability of the resource for all students. 5) Feasibility of the project within a one-year time frame (by May 2024).
