Math Waivers for Econ Classes
Math Waivers for Econ Classes
Students who have completed relevant coursework for the ECON 50, 51, 102A, and 102B MATH requirements may wish to have these requirements waived. Students may only count AP test scores, equivalent transfer credit, or completion of a higher-level math course towards these requirements. Students may NOT count the Math placement test as proof for math pre-requisite credit.
1) AP Test Scores and Transfer Credit may be reviewed for equivalency for MATH 20, a prerequisite for ECON 102A and ECON 50. Please review the AP Credit Chart to confirm if your scores qualify. You DO NOT need to submit this form if your AP scores appear on your record. Please see this page for more information.
2) MATH 51 may be satisfied with transfer credit, or proof of taking a more advanced Stanford Math Course (e.g. MATH 61CM)
Students wishing to receive transfer credit or waiver credit for the Econ Math prerequisites must submit this form for approval with appropriate documentation of the classes/tests they have completed. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
