Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s) have the opportunity to request a reconsideration of their Summer School Financial Aid application decision if there has been a change in personal circumstances.

Indicate which of the following circumstances best describes your situation. Circumstances must have happened within 30 days after the program deadline.

Change in Income Description:

A change in income due to job loss, job change, reduction of work hours, discontinuation of benefits, etc. that occurred in the 2022 calendar year. Please submit the last paystub received in 2022, notice of termination of benefits, or other documentation to confirm a change of income.

Change in Household Size Description:

A change in the size of your household, such as the addition of a new child. Please submit a hospital birth certificate, adoption document, death certificate, court order of Legal Guardianship, a letter from the Department of Human Services confirming custody of a foster child, or other documentation to confirm the change of household size.

Change in Marital Status

Please submit a marriage certificate, divorce decree or other documentation to confirm a change in marital status. If you have recently become separated, please submit a court order or decree of legal separation, temporary restraining order, or statement of a spouse being incarcerated.

Change in Custody

By submitting a Reconsideration for a change in custody, the KS Ho‘oulu Verification Services (HVS) team will be contacting you shortly to request for new custodial document(s). Your prompt response to their email and/or phone calls will be necessary to ensure your childʻs custody information is recorded on time. KS values the safety of your child and 'ohana. Any TRO or PRO protecting the welfare of the child can also be provided to the HVS team.
