Regional Representative Purpose Statement*

If you selected Region 3 Representative you must provide a purpose statement that demonstrates your understanding of the position roles & responsibilities listed below.

Position Functions

Line responsibility for the assigned Region
Track and monitor PES membership statistics including membership by region, membership grade
Work with Chapter Representatives to address concerns with the health of the chapters utilizing the provided Chapter Health Index
Have a minimum of quarterly tele-conference calls with the assigned chapters/student branch chapters to review the progress on the metrics for the chapter’s organization
Identify opportunities for potential new chapters/student branch chapters and coordinate with Chapter Representatives/Student Committee, PES Society to complete the administrative paperwork
Designates volunteers to work with affinity groups like Women in Power, Young Professionals, Life Members
Promote the available resources regarding awards, training, distinguished lecture program, industry workshop, membership development initiatives, conferences, technical activities and so on
