Volunteer Group Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in bringing a group to support the Special Olympics Florida West Coast Region Summer Games on Sunday, March 30. Athletes from Citrus, Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Hillsborough, Highlands, Hernando, Hendry, Lee, Manatee, Monroe, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, and Sumter Counties


This year, events are happening in three locations. IMG Academy- West Side, IMG Academy- East Side, and Manatee High School


  • Regional Basketball and Tennis Competition: IMG Academy- East Side
  • Regional Soccer and Bocce Competition: IMG Academy- West Side
  • Regional Cycling Competition: Manatee High School

Volunteers are needed on March 30th to assist in the below roles / shifts.



  • Sports: Assist with roles such as staging, scorekeeping, and with awards presentations for one of the sports (basketball, bocce, cheerleading, cycling, soccer, field events, track & field and tennis). Shifts are both indoors and outdoors.


  • Registration & Meals: Assist with checking in volunteers, teams and / or distributing meals to delegation members.

If you are requesting a Sports shift, please indicate which location you prefer. Meals will take place at each location. Healthy Athletes will take place at each location at IMG.

Please use this box to let us know of any pertinent info needed to place your group. This can include your preferred sport or any other restrictions (ex. many group members cannot stand for long periods of time).
