Electrochemistry & Clean Energy



ASU undergraduates are invited to apply to attend a two-week immersive workshop at Georgia Institute of Technology.


Up to four students will be selected to explore What Is Electrochemistry, and Why Is It So Important to a Green-Energy Future.

Workshop Details



Where: The workshop will be held on the Atlanta campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology.



When: May 6th through May 17th 2024.



What you’ll learn and do:


• Hands on experiments making and testing electrodes


• Apply state of the art microscopy tools to examine fabricated

structures


• Explore redox-flow and rechargeable aqueous batteries


• Methods to manufacture films and electrodes for

electrochemical systems


• Fundamentals of the research method


• Methods for effective scientific report writing


• Principle of how energy is generated, stored, and transported

and the role of electrochemistry


• Tour key facilities at Georgia Tech



Who: Undergraduates majoring in sciences interested in careers in the clean energy field where they can make a real difference in the world. 2nd and 3rd year students who have taken general chemistry.
