IT Project Charter Form
In project management, a Project Charter is a formal document that outlines the scope, objectives, and key participants of a project. It serves as a high-level agreement that:
- Clearly defines the project's purpose and objectives
- Identifies roles, responsibilities, and key stakeholders
- Establishes the authority and responsibilities of the project manager
- Provides a shared understanding of the project across all parties
- Acts as a foundational agreement between the project sponsor, stakeholders, and project team
At Albany State University, we also use the information collected in this form to populate our Executive Dashboard, which helps leadership monitor progress across all active projects.
If you need assistance completing this form, please contact the Project Management Office by emailing PMO@asurams.edu to schedule a consultation.
