iThenticate User Guideline

•    You should run a single paper no more than two times, one time to check the amount of similarity in the document and then another to check the paper after you have made all necessary changes. Running the same paper multiple times drains the resources of other users. User reports indicate that many users have run single papers multiple times. Such use might result in the deactivation of your user account.

•    iThenticate should be used only for papers that you have written that you plan to submit to journals and conferences, and for proposals that you will submit for funding.

•    Please do not use iThenticate to check papers that you are reviewing for journals or conferences or papers submitted to a conference that you are helping to organize.

•    Do not check papers for non-KAUST authors.

•    All student-work for KAUST courses and student theses and dissertations should be checked with Turnitin, a software application designed specifically for student work. Turnitin is available through Blackboard. Dissertations must not be run on iThenticate (a single dissertation can account for 10 or more submissions in total).

Please contact KAUST Research Compliance (research.compliance@kaust.edu.sa) if you have any questions about using iThenticate.

I confirm that I have read the above-listed User Guideline. I understand that failure to comply with this User Guideline may result in the suspension of my iThenticate privileges.
