The State of Missouri has allocated a one-time amount of $27 million to distribute to public school districts for testing, remediation, and filtration of drinking water to protect against lead exposures. To receive such funds, public school districts are required to apply for reimbursement of eligible expenses and enter into a contract agreement with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) by completing the required information detailed below. Public school districts are not required to incur eligible expenses prior to entering into a contract agreement with DHSS, but will be required to incur cost prior to any payment.
THE APPLICATION PERIOD WILL CLOSE JANUARY 31, 2024 AT 11:59 PM.
Upon submission, DHSS will review, complete a draft contract agreement, and address the contract agreement to the public school district for signature and approval. Additional instructions for return of the signed contract agreement will be provided with the contract.
