Project Request Form

Hanover Research services and support are available to Heritage College faculty members at no cost to you. Requests for services and support are evaluated by the Office of Research and Grants based on alignment with Heritage College priorities and availability of service and support queues and tokens based on our annual agreement with Hanover Research.

Project Support Definitions

Proposal Review (2-3 weeks): Review proposal and provide feedback on the following criteria: alignment with funding mechanism, competitiveness, overall grantsmanship. Feedback provided via any combination of: margin comments in the proposal; summary memo; and/or debrief call with reviewer.


Consult Call: One-hour phone call with a grants expert to discuss specific questions about your project, such as: alignment and competitiveness with a particular agency or program, or the general funding landscape for your work; assistance in preparing talking points for an upcoming conversation with a Program Officer; help in interpreting review feedback; etc.


Proposal Revision/Editing (3-4 weeks): Hanover to assist project team on revising a previously rejected proposal for resubmission, or to provide editing support for a new submission. This level of support includes assessing alignment, competitiveness, and grantsmanship; editing of text for structure, language, and style; embedding questions for the team or prompts for further changes via margin comment; and project calls with the team.


Proposal Support (4-8 weeks): Review proposal and provide feedback on the following criteria: alignment with funding mechanism, competitiveness, overall grantsmanship. Feedback provided via any combination of: margin comments in the proposal; light copyediting recommendations in track changes; summary memo; and/or debrief call with reviewer.


Funding Prospect Research (4 weeks): Hanover researches suitable funding prospects based on information provided by the PI/team. Research is provided to the PI/team in the form of a Prospecting Report, including profiles of funding targets, guidance on their application processes, and pertinent details about approach strategy. Prospects may include federal, foundation, and corporate funders, and the scope of the search may be restricted as indicated by the PI/team.


Other: Beyond the above support, Hanover can support PIs with consultation calls with Grants Consultants; research support for proposals; training; and other custom projects.
