Training requests
Training and development of our workforce is critical to EveryMan's ability to provide services which make a real difference to our service users. It's also important to us that you feel like you grow professionally and personally while you work here.
When considering training requests made by individual staff members, we take the following into account:
- You've worked at EveryMan for at least four months.
- Priority is given to training directly relevant to the work area and/or training and development plans.
- Your manager is required to approve the training, followed by authorisation by CEO or other.
- High priority training will usuall be paid for by EveryMan and paid leave, accommodation and travel costs will usually be authorised.
- Training deemed relevant but lower priority may be supported with paid leave or contribution to costs but probably not both.
- For training deemed low relevance, you'll need to cover all costs and apply to take leave to attend.
- Alluthorisations requiring that EveryMan pay costs will be subject to availability of funds.
- Impact of staff absences on work area priorities and client service delivery will also be considered in the approval of requests, but approval may not be unreasonably withheld.
- Subject to budget, relevance and absence-impact considerations, employees can attend as many training events as they want - subject to budget, relevance and absence-impact considerations
- Employees will have to bring proof of attendance.
