The Louie Leskinen Native American Radiological Technology Scholarship Application

Purpose and Background:

This scholarship was created to honor Louie Leskinen, a proud Inland Imaging team member and Native American. Louie was an Inland Imaging employee for 22 years in Mammography, MRI, 3D lab, and CT departments as a technologist, team leader, and later as a site director. Throughout her career at Inland Imaging, she was one of the most willing, hardworking, and capable members of our Inland Imaging team. She cared for hundreds of thousand of Inland Imaging's patients during her tenure. Louie is a direct descendant of the Colville Confederated Tribes. As such, she was raised in Naspelem, Washington on the Colville Indian Reservation. As a result of Louie's efforts to honor her heritage and Inland Imaging's efforts to honor Louie, Inland Imaging established the Louie Leskinen Native American Scholarship for Radiological Technology Students in late 2023. This is a cash scholarship of $5,000 awarded annually to Native American/American Indian Rad Tech students to help them complete their technical program.
