The Community Health Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving and advancing community health for all.


Nominations will be accepted through Monday, September 8th, 2025. Acceptance letters will be emailed to nominators 1 week after the deadline.

The annual community health symposium recognizes two (2) community partners each year. This award recognizes and honors the vital role and commitment of our community partners in supporting Stanford Medicine's pursuit of excellence in education, and community service. The recipient(s) of the award shows exceptional ability in the following areas:


  • Commitment to addressing community needs
  • Promotes accessibility to health care for all

The annual community health symposium recognizes two (2) faculty members each year for their exemplary leadership in advancing students, staff, and community in learning, conducting community-based research, fostering reciprocal community partnerships, building institutional commitments to service-learning and civic engagement, and other means of enhancing higher education’s contributions to the public good.


Check box to nominate a staff member for the "Rhonda McClinton-Brown Community-Engaged Leader" Award!


The annual community health symposium recognizes two (2) staff leaders/mentors at Stanford University that has worked towards a vision of service, supported faculty and students, and formed exemplary community-engaged partnerships, including leadership in advancing students’ civic learning, conducting community-based research, fostering reciprocal community partnerships, building institutional commitments to service-learning and civic engagement, and other means of enhancing higher education’s contributions to the public good.


Check box to nominate a community member for the "Lourie Campos Coallier Community Health Advocate" Award!


Sponsored by Stanford Health Care's Office of Government Affairs, the annual community health symposium recognizes one (1) advocate/leader/mentor in the community (currently a non-Stanford affiliate) that has worked towards a vision of service, exhibited exemplary community-engaged partnerships, including leadership in advancing civic engagement, and other means of enhancing contributions for the public good.


In Memoriam

2023 Inaugural Community Health Advocate award recipient was presented, posthumously to, Lourie Campos Coallier, MPA Director, Stanford Health Care Government Affairs, for her dedication, "to making health care services more equitable and accessible to all."

By checking the agreement below, permission is hereby granted to Stanford University (“Stanford”), all entities affiliated or associated with Stanford and, at Stanford’s sole but reasonable discretion, entities that contract with Stanford to do the following:

Stanford is further granted permission to use such likeness for news, educational, marketing, advertising, fund-raising or other reasonable purposes.


By executing this Release it is agreed that Stanford will be held harmless from any liability resulting from the statements and actions captured as set forth above, and Stanford is hereby released from any claims relating to the rights granted above.


I understand that this Release is entered into on behalf of the Releasee and each of Releasee’s heirs, agents, successors and assigns. I further understand that Releasee will not receive any compensation for this release; however this Release is a condition of and a part of the consideration for my participation in the associated program. I further understand that although this Release is granted, Stanford is under no obligation whatsoever to use my audio or video likeness.
