Certified Nurse Aide & Phlebotomy Summer

2023 Scholarship Application

We are pleased to offer grant funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) for scholarships as follows:


  • Phlebotomy Technician - M/T/W/R, 8:00am - 2:00pm, June 5 - June 29, 2023
  • SCHOLARSHIP VALUE, including credentialing exams: $ 1,617
  • RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITY: $100

Application deadline is May 14. Notice of award will be made via email no later than May 17.


  • Certified Nurse Aide, M/T/W/R, 8:00am - 3:00pm, June 26 - July 28, 2023
  • SCHOLARSHIP VALUE, including credentialing exams: $ 1,324
  • RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITY: $0 - $100

Application deadline is June 4. Notice of award will be made via email no later than June 7.


Recipients must be Texas residents.

Scholarships awarded based on responses to the application questions. Applicants who provide all the required documents will be considered for priority acceptance.

Proof that the child(ren) is/are under age 18 must be provided via email to cwl@grayson.edu. Applicants who fail to provide this documentation by the application deadline will not be considered.

 

You must be able to confirm with documents.

 

Proof that your adjusted gross income from the prior year is under $37,000 must be provided via email to cwl@grayson.edu. Applicants who fail to provide this documentation by the application deadline will not be considered.

 
 

Scholarship and Enrollment Requirements

 
 

CNA applicants MUST upload Texas Driver's License for required Criminal Background Check.

Attach documentation such a drivers license, utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, credit card statement, current bank statement or other similar document providing proof of Texas residency.

Immunizations & TB PPD Test Results (only required for CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy and PCT)

Immunizations and proof of a negative TB test are required PRIOR to course enrollment. Documented proof of the following should be sent to cwl@grayson.edu.


Tuberculosis (TB), Proof of either (within the past year):

  • a negative PPD skin test, or
  • a negative chest x-ray if skin test is positive or can not be taken

Varicella (Chicken Pox), Proof of either:

  • a physician documented history of the disease, or
  • a documentation of varicella immunization
  • or a titer test confirming immunity

Hepatitis B series, Proof of either:

  • a complete three-injection series of Hepatitis B vaccinations, or
  • a titer test confirming immunity (positive reading)

MMR series, Proof of either:

  • a complete two-injection series of MMR vaccinations, or
  • a titer test confirming immunity (positive reading)

Diphtheria Tetanus (within past 10 years)

Course Enrollment Form

Information provided below will be used to enroll you as a student at Grayson College. If you have an outstanding balance at Grayson College you will not be enrolled in the training program until the balance is resolved.
