DPR Summer 2025 Partnerships Application
DPR FY25 SUMMER CAMPS:
We are now accepting applications for summer camp partnerships through April 15, 2025!!
Thank you for your interest in being a DPR Summer Camp partner! All summer camp partners provide enhancements to supplement DPR's summer camp experiences in a variety of opportunities listed below. Enhancements are given in one-hour increments to include 15 minute intervals in all camp locations throughout the summer schedule. The schedule can be developed as needed to ensure collaborative accommodation of all parties.
SUMMER CAMP PARTNER CRITERIA:
Documents REQUIRED:
- Summer Camp Enhancement Proposal
- Articles of Incorporation (including proof of 501 (c) status.)
- Copy of organization mission statement and a brief summary of services.
- DC Certificate of Clean Hands- VISIT HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
- List of key staff and volunteers facilitating the Program; include full name, email, and a preferred phone number. This information is needed for background check of all those interfacing with minors (if applicable).

SUMMER CAMP ENHANCEMENT PARTNER OPPORTUNITIES:
SIGNATURE CAMPS:
- Little Explorers (3-5)- 30 minute enhancement session in which we have the children sit down to listen to story time. At the end of story time asking the youth questions about the story and what they liked about the story.
i.e: Making trees with finger paint or
arts and crafts that include youth participation in
creating family trees.
2.. Discovery Camp (6-10yrs) - A one hour enhancement to include 15 intervals of set up and break down. In which youth are learning about the S in STEM.
i.e: what freezes faster hot or cold water?
or What is gravity?
SPECIALTY CAMPS:
- Therapeutic Recreation Camp - A one hour and a half session to include 15 interval of set up. i.e: An hour and a half relay race in completing three activities per team
- Boost Camps:
- Challenge Camp(11-13 yrs) - A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth build a basic bridge using household materials and test its strength to learn about engineering principles and problem-solving (i.e., when designing a bridge, how do you ensure it can hold the most weight with minimal materials?).
- CSI Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth analyze clues, such as fingerprints and handwriting samples, to solve a mini-mystery and learn forensic science basics (i.e., how can you use evidence like fingerprints to identify a suspect in a crime scene?).
- Journalism Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth create a front-page newspaper using interviews and headlines to learn the basics of reporting and storytelling (i.e., when writing an article on an event, how do you prioritize which details are the most newsworthy?)
- Mad Science Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth create simple chemical reactions (like slime or a baking soda volcano) to explore scientific concepts in a fun and interactive way (i.e., how can different chemical reactions produce various effects, like fizzing or changing color?)
- Rocket Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth design and launch small water-powered rockets, learning about propulsion and aerodynamics (i.e., how does changing the amount of water in a rocket affect its launch height?).
- Robotics Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth build and program a simple robot to complete a task, introducing them to basic robotics and coding (i.e., how can you program a robot to perform a specific action, like moving in a straight line or turning at an angle?)
- DreamTeens Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth create a short skit or music video, focusing on self-expression and teamwork (i.e., how can you express emotions and personal stories through a performance or video?).
- eSports Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth develop strategies for a team-based gaming challenge, focusing on collaboration, communication, and critical thinking (i.e., how do you work together as a team to achieve objectives in a competitive game?).
- Young Med Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth learn basic first aid and practice taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure (i.e., how can you tell if someone is in a medical emergency by checking their vital signs?)
- Drone Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth learn to pilot mini-drones through an obstacle course, focusing on precision and problem-solving (i.e., how can you improve your flight path to avoid obstacles and land your drone accurately?).
- Art Life Camp(11-13 yrs)- A one-hour enhancement that includes a 15-minute setup where youth create personal vision boards using mixed media to explore their goals, feelings, and self-expression (i.e., how can art help you express your personal aspirations and emotions in a visual format?).
