Name Change Request form for Authors, Editors, and Reviewers
Use this form to request changes to your name on a published PNAS article. Unless you indicate on this form that you would like PNAS to issue a formal Correction, your name change will be made confidentially, without issuing a formal Correction or notifying other authors. You are not required to provide legal proof or documentation to proceed with a name change. PNAS requires anyone submitting a name change request to provide their ORCID. ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier (an ORCID iD) that you own and control, and that distinguishes you from every other researcher. The email used on this form must match the email attached to your ORCID record. On receiving a name change request, PNAS will replace the old name with the new name in the article’s metadata and republish the article. The new name will be reflected on the PNAS site (both HTML and PDF) and in PubMed, PubMed Central, and Crossref. Name changes may take up to two weeks. PNAS cannot control how the name appears in other repositories or in citations in other articles. Requests to update the name of another individual on their behalf, unless by an authorized institutional representative, will not be considered. Please contact PNAS at PNAS_namechange@nas.edu with any questions.
