Change of Club Name

To request a change of name for your Club, we require you to complete this form in full. This will then be submitted to the Directors for approval.


  • The name of the club shall not be obscene, frivolous, offensive, ethically or morally undesirable in sound or meaning.
  • It must not so closely resemble that of an existing club as to cause confusion.
  • The name of the club shall not consist of numbers only and the use of initials only will be discouraged.
  • The proposed name shall not have an adverse effect (perceived or otherwise) on the interests of other stakeholders (clubs, sponsors etc)


When reviewing the application, West Riding FA will seek observations from all stakeholders, including interested parties, who may be affected by the change.
