Share Your Story - Individuals and Family Members
Share your story so you can inspire, educate, motivate, and encourage others about UCP’s mission to empower people of diverse abilities to live a meaningful life through innovative support and services. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)*—or direct care workers under any other name--provide essential services and make a measurable difference each and every day. Please tell us how a DSP has made a difference in your life. UCP highlights and recognizes the selfless work of DSPs throughout the year on social media and on our website. While we place a special emphasis on celebrating them during DSP Recognition week in September, we collect stories all year long. So please, take this opportunity to SHARE YOUR STORY! *A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is defined as anyone who works directly with children and adults with disabilities to ensure that they have the necessary supports that enable them to live, work, and enjoy life more independently in a community-based setting. This includes but is not limited to Early Intervention therapists, habilitation aides, employment specialists and job coaches, and support service professionals.
