IAP Housing Extension Disclaimer

  1. We prioritize housing for all new undergraduate IAP students first, per USC housing policy.
  2. After accommodating new students, we consider extension requests for continuing IAP students, based on availability.
  3. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. You will receive an email notification about your request within 3-5 business days.

Pricing

Housing prices are subject to market fluctuations. The pricing provided here is current as of Mar 10, 2025, but it may change in the future due to various factors. For the most up-to-date housing prices, please refer to this website.


Private:

(Private bedroom/private bath in 2-bedroom unit; shared kitchen and living room)

Fall/ Spring: $6,880 per semester

Summer: $4,300 per semester


Shared:

(Shared bedroom and bathroom with one other person; 2-bedroom unit for 4 students)

Fall/ Spring: $5,180 per semester

Summer: $3,865 per semester


If you are a progressed IAP student, you may receive discount for your summer housing fee. Ask Angi for more details!

Move out dates

You do not need to move out if you're continuing with IAP housing in the upcoming semester. However, if you decide to leave IAP housing, here are the move-out dates.


All move-outs need to be completed and keys returned before 5:00PM on move-out dates.


  • Spring 2025: May 7, 2025
  • Summer 2025: August 2, 2025
  • Fall 2025: December 15, 2025
  • Spring 2026: May 6, 2026

If you currently live in IAP Housing and want to stay in your current room or switch to a different room, please let us know in your comment. We'll do our best to accommodate your request.

For current or former IAP students requesting to extend their housing lease with IAP, please note:


If your housing extension request is approved, you must ensure that all shared areas (kitchen, living room, balcony) are clean and organized before leaving for summer or winter breaks. If these areas are found unclean when new IAP students move in, a $200 fine will be imposed.
