2025 AP Participant Grant Application

Please read the following carefully before completing the application.


College Board awards AP participant grants for qualifying teachers new to an AP subject to attend an AP Summer Institute (APSI). The application is open January–May or until all grants have been distributed.



  • Teachers may only be awarded one AP Participant Grant so you should only submit one application.



  • Please wait to register for your preferred APSI until you've received a notification about the status of your grant application. Grant awardees will receive a special registration code.


Eligibility Criteria


           To qualify, you must:                                 

  • Teach the AP course in the 2025-26 school year
  • Not have attended an APSI or received an APSI scholarship or fee waiver in the past 3 years in the same AP subject
  • Not receive professional learning funding from your state, district or school
  • Teach at a school in the United States, a DoDEA school, or a school located in the U.S. territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

If you receive an AP Participant Grant, it may apply to any online or in-person event offered by that APSI in summer of 2025.Please sure your subject is offered at that site before selecting it.

Describe your individual efforts to expand access to AP in your school. Provide concrete examples of your specific individual efforts to recruit, support, and raise the achievement levels of traditionally underrepresented and/or low-income students in AP classes.


If you have not taught AP before, please discuss what future plans you have to expand access to AP in your school.
