Thank you for applying to be a Dog Foster with the CDPA!

We look for foster homes for dogs based on which dog we feel would be most suited to your home and lifestyle and we evaluate applications based on the needs of the foster dog.

In order for us to do this accurately, we ask that you answer all questions completely and honestly.

Your application will be reviewed and our dedicated team will contact you within 10 days.

Foster dogs' needs, diet or training*

I acknowledge the importance of regular communication with the Dog Team, providing necessary updates. I agree to be reachable via phone and email, understanding that you may contact me through these means. Additionally, I will complete required feedback forms for my Foster Dog to aid the Dog Team in finding them a new home.

I recognize the need to promptly report any incidents or health concerns regarding the dog. I also agree to immediately notify the Dog Team of any changes in the foster home environment, including new residents, children, or animals.

Second Chance dogs will often have a transition period of 1-2 weeks after leaving the shelter/ their home environment and may exhibit signs of separation anxiety and/or may have accidents in their new foster homes until they feel safe. Please check that you agree to understanding that there could be a transition period.

I understand that any misrepresentation of the above information authorizes us to deny application, and/or reclaim the pet that is in my home. I acknowledge that the CDPA cannot guarantee any animals against parasites, diseases or destructive behavior. If I foster a dog from the CDPA I will not hold the CDPA responsible, nor seek any compensation for damages, medical fees or other liabilities incurred by the pet I foster.

I understand that I must follow all CDPA protocols for fostering a dog, which includes: always having a collar on, keeping a leash on my foster dog at all times when in public, and using a crate for my foster dog when he/she is alone.

When you "SUBMIT" your interest, the CDPA Dog Team will be notified and will retain your personal data in accordance with GDPR regulations for the purpose of your application only. You can opt out of this at any time and withdraw your application by emailing dogteam@cdpa.ie.

Please note that your application may be shared within CDPA and its volunteers to facilitate the processing of your application.

Any further correspondence (emails/calls/messages/photos/videos/etc) to individual volunteers, may be shared internally to CDPA and to other volunteers to facilitate the processing of your queries. CDPA does not share your information with any Third Parties. 'CDPA' refers to The Cat and Dog Protection Association in affiliation with the ISPCA.
