2025 NCHA Awards

Nominations are being accepted through April 14, 2025.


The North Carolina Healthcare Association is honored to recognize leaders and teams in North Carolina hospitals and health systems that are committed to the mission of improving the health of their communities through innovative, high quality care. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee that will make recommendations to the NCHA Board.

Select the award for which you would like to make a nomination:*
  • Distinguished Service Award: Presented to an executive at an NCHA member institution whose contributions to the healthcare field has had a positive and lasting impact at the local, regional, state or national level.
  • Clinical Leadership Award: Presented to a clinician at an NCHA member institution who is currently serving in a leadership role and has made an outstanding contribution to their organization through creativity, collaboration and clinical excellence.
  • Healthier Communities Award: Focuses on collaboration between organizations. The collaboration should promote health and well-being by addressing an identified community need. In your nomination, describe the project/initiative that:
  • Is a collaboration between organizations
  • Promotes and improves the health and well-being of the community
  • Demonstrates a financial and/or resource investment from the hospital/health system to the community
  • Illustrates a creative approach to meeting the community need
  • Establishes a measurable impact on the health and well-being of the community
  • Highsmith Award for Innovation: Highlights an organization's innovative idea. It is presented to a member institution (or a team within a member institution) in recognition of innovation that creates value for patients/consumers of healthcare. In your nomination, include specifics on the project or initiative such as: scope, originality, implementation of innovation, effectiveness, at the potential for it to be used by others.
