GTFR: Grants for Team-Based Faculty Research

Applications due Monday March 31st before 5 p.m. (eastern time).

PLEASE NOTE: While no hard word limits were given, it is reasonable to consider 500-700 words per section for Goals, Plans, and Budget. The system has accepted that amount of text. Just in case you do run into some kind of word limit issue that is more text than Smartsheet is currently accepting for a text box there is a workaround: upload a document (.docx or pdf) that includes your reponses to each element of this form. But, do keep in mind that 1,500-2,000 words total for the Goals, Plan, and Budget should be more than sufficient to make your proposal.

  • Resource categories typically include the following, which may or may not apply to the proposed project:
  • Salary (Student Hourly Work add 7.65%; No PI or Co-PI salaries or course-buyouts and none for co-investigators outside of SC&I).

Indicate here the type of funds and how much members of the project will apply from their startup funds, annual faculty allocation, indirect cost returns, salary savings, or leftover useable funds from other grants. Clarify what aspects of the project these other funds will be applied to cover the costs of this project.

In the event the text boxes for Project Goals, Project Plan, and Project Budget won't accept all the text you input, then please upload a document (.docx or pdf) here that address all the fields on this form. Apologies but this is the workaround at this point.
