Brief Position Descriptions
President
The President is responsible for the overall success and growth of an organization. He or she runs the meetings and holds other board members and staff members accountable for upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and values. He or she serves as a liaison at meetings on behalf of the organization.
Vice President
The Vice President shall work closely with the President to carry out the organization’s core initiatives and can stand in for the President if he or she is absent.
Secretary
The Secretary shall keep or cause to be kept a book of minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors. Custodian of the by-laws of the Organization. The Secretary, upon receipt of any correspondence communication or other material, shall notify the President and route the material as directed. Serves as backup to creating and distributing all official communication from the organization.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day CBGC financials. They are responsible for balancing the books, processing income and expenses, working with our external contract accountant, and ensuring the books are closed and proper tax forms are processed. (Financial experience required)
Registrar
The Registrar is charged with overseeing the club’s registration process. This includes maintaining the database of athletes, coaches, and referees. Communicating and promoting registration activities. Creates and distributes all official communications from the organization.
Sports Director
The Sports Director is responsible for the overall management and success of their specific program and the recruitment of all coaching staff. Ensures the promotion of sports programming growth, safety, member satisfaction, and member retention through sports program participation and facility excellence.
Facilities Director
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Clinton Sports Complex. He or she is responsible for coordinating with the Sports Director on submitting permits, reserving facilities based on each team’s schedule, and ensuring the facility meets proper safety guidelines.
Website/Social Media Coordinator
This can also be a team of individuals responsible for maintaining the Jets website, posting photos, game highlights, and updates on social media, and ensuring important club communication reach our families.
Volunteer Coordinator
This can be one person or a group of individuals assigned to specific sports. In addition, to organizing volunteers for sport specific functions, special club events, and fundraisers, the Volunteer coordinator serves as the liaison for Team Managers, ensuring they have the essential club and league information needed o communicate with parents.
