Heat Pump Pre Appliance Function Checklist (AFC)

All requests will be processed within 2 working days. Please allow a minimum of 7 full working days from the return of this form for an engineer to attend.



Any call cancellation should be given in writing to aftersales-uk@vaillant-group.com no less than 24 hours before the booked call date.



If an appliance function check visit cannot be completed because the installation is incomplete or at fault, then an additional aborted call charge will be applied.

Cover and Care Packages

Your heat pump comes with a 2-year guarantee as standard, but we have a range of Cover and Care packages available with a team of dedicated engineers to deliver complete peace of mind.


At Vaillant, we invest as much of our resources into our service and support as we do in creating outstanding heating solutions. That’s why, with our Cover and Care packages, you will have access to our fully trained Vaillant service engineers for each annual service, a dedicated support team with access to breakdown and repairs with genuine spare parts.


To maintain your heat pump product guarantee you must have an annual service. Regular servicing has the added benefit of keeping your system running efficiently and can solve any issues before they cause a breakdown.


Packages available from £295 inc VAT per year.


Packages are only available for installations under 6 months old.


What is an AFC?


An Appliance Function Check (or AFC) is a site visit from a Vaillant heat pump engineer to ensure your appliance is installed and functioning to its manufacturer’s specification. Giving you peace of mind of trouble-free operation and the best possible efficiency for your heat pump.


An AFC must be undertaken to verify the install within 6 months of installation to qualify for this package. An AFC is a site visit from a Vaillant heat pump engineer to ensure your appliance is installed and functioning to its manufacturer’s specification.


Your guarantee will become active once the AFC has been completed and signed off by a Vaillant engineer.

  • £350 including VAT within M25
