Competition Attendance or Accreditation for Coaches (International Competition) All Age Groups

This form is required for all coaches wishing to attend or requiring coach accreditation for the international competitions. There is a separate process for coaches based outside the UK who wish to support athletes representing GBR at domestic events – contact gbe_support@britishfencing.com for more information.


The personal data you have provided in this form will be used by BF for the following purposes:

To assess the coaches meet the minimum operating standards for international competitions to be accredited at the selected competitions.


To do this your data will be shared with appointed staff responsible for overseeing the competition accreditation. BF will store and retain the personal data you have provided in this form as follows: Your data will be stored securely and retained in line with Section 8 of the BF Privacy Policy (https://www.britishfencing.com/policy-zone/gdpr-data-protection/).


If you have provided consent for use of your image your name will be retained securely by BF and will be deleted following any termination of the use of the related images. Complaints or Queries Under the General Data Protection Regulation, 2018, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.


BF tries to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously. We encourage people to bring it to our attention if they think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate. We would also welcome any suggestions for improving our procedures.


This Privacy Notice was drafted with brevity and clarity in mind. It does not provide exhaustive detail of all aspects of the BF’s collection and use of personal information. •    let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

Personal Information

I confirm I am currently listed on the BF Coach Register, qualified at Level 2 or above and all the relevant criteria has been met.


I confirm my status is visible using the Coach Search function on the BF website.


I confirm that I will ensure that I will meet all the minimum standards to remain on the BF Coach Register for all the competitions I will be applying for.


I understand that if I am removed from the BF Coach Register I will have my Competition Accreditations removed and will be charged a £30 administration fee for re-instatement. (Minimum standards for the Coach Register include BF Membership, Criminal Record Check, Safeguarding and Protecting Children Course).

I confirm that I have read, understand and will abide by all the relevant BF Policies and Codes of Conduct (https://www.britishfencing.com/policy-zone/codes-of-conduct/) and in particular the BF Coaches Code of Conduct and the BF Fair Play Code.


I understand that if I am being investigated in relation to a safeguarding, disciplinary or complaints procedure that any granted accreditation may be suspended as a 'without prejudice' measure.

Anti-Doping Training*

All coaches supporting athletes at International (EFC and FIE) events must have undergone a Coach Clean e-learning course.


Coaches supporting athletes at National Championships are strongly recommended to have undergone a Coach Clean e-learning course.


I confirm that I have undergone a Coach Clean e-learning course within the last 2 years - https://ukad.org.uk/coach-clean - and my certificate is uploaded into Sport80. (International Coach accreditations will not be granted without this)
