LIFT Owner/Manager Membership Agreement

The listed Owner/Manager agrees to partner with the Landlord Incentives to Foster Tenancy (LIFT) in Milwaukee County in accordance with the terms outlined below.

Agreement Term

This agreement commences on the date signed and will continue with the same terms and conditions annually thereafter. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by providing a written thirty (30) day notice of termination.

LIFT Benefits

Property partners receive a variety of benefits when renting to LIFT supported tenants:

  • Damage & Vacancy Loss protection up to 3x the monthly contract rent when a damage or broken lease results in costs exceeding the security deposit.
  • $500 welcome bonus for partners new to accepting rental assistance.
  • $250-$100 referral bonuses.
  • Dedicated owner-support team to help to fill your vacancies and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Wraparound housing stability support for referred LIFT tenants.

Flexible Screening Criteria

In exchange for the LIFT membership benefits, property partners acknowledge that some applicants may have

barriers which could impact their ability to apply for housing or pass typical screening criteria. Partners are requested to indicate their flexibility in screening criteria. Please indicate below how you may adjust the following categories:

*Agreeing to partner with LIFT is not a legally binding commitment to lease to all applicants referred

via the network.

It is an indication that the property partner is willing to consider tenants who do not meet typical rental criteria but who are working towards successful tenancy with the support of our program.

Depending on the tenant’s rental assistance program, inspections may be required prior to lease execution. More information will be provided at the time of application by the client’s Housing Navigator.
