CEE Master's Program Proposals

This form should be submitted by MS students at least twice:

  1. Before the end of your first quarter of enrollment in the CEE MS program, and
  2. Again at the start of the quarter when you are graduating, before the final study list deadline.

  • If your plans for meeting degree requirements change, you must submit a new form at that time.

  • The University minimum requirement for each master's degree is 45 unduplicated units of work done at Stanford.

  • Please try to list only the minimum of 45 units on this form. Any courses/units not needed to meet your MS degree requirements may potentially be counted towards current or future Post-MS study (provided your Post-MS adviser approves). All courses taken at Stanford remain on your transcript even if they are not used for your MS.

  • Students may not double count or split units (units from one course may not be counted towards more than one degree).

  • Each MS program may have additional requirements and forms.

  • Please make an initial appointment to meet with your advisor to discuss your plan if you haven't already.

  • In your final quarter, you must submit an Application to Graduate for Advanced Degrees through Axess. Stanford does not automatically graduate you.

  • Audited classes DO NOT count towards the required 45 units. All 45 units must be on your transcript to count
