Introduction

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to give interested, qualified organizations the opportunity to inform Community Behavioral Health (CBH) of their current use of peer support services in their treatment programming.

Project Background

CBH is issuing an RFI from in network providers who utilize peer support services as part of their treatment continuum. Peer support services are specialized therapeutic interactions conducted by individuals who are currently receiving or have previously received behavioral health services and have reached a place in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in a similar situation. Peers are trained and certified to assist others in their recovery and community-integration process. They play an important role in the network by effectively engaging members and linking members to treatment and community-based resources. Peer support services instill hope and a sense of self confidence by enhancing the role individuals play in their own care.

The information obtained will provide CBH with a better understanding of peer support services within the network, including benefits and challenges that organizations may be facing. CBH may use this information to inform potential peer support services guidelines, enhance continued training and cohort support, and identify opportunities for expansion of current peer services.

Terms of RFI

This RFI is for information gathering purposes only and is not intended to result in a contract with any respondent. CBH is seeking community insight and information prior to considering the development of a Request for Proposals (RFP).

While the goal of the RFI is to inform potential service development, this RFI does not commit CBH to publish a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), RFP or award a contract. The issuance of an RFQ or RFP as a result of information gathering from these responses is solely at the discretion of CBH.

Responses to this RFI will in no way impact any future

proposal submitted to RFQs or RFPs regarding this service. Those wishing to respond to any potential future proposals are not required to have first responded to this RFI.

Applicant and Project Requirements

CBH is seeking insight and feedback from employers of peers and providers with peer services on their continuum.

Following the Submission

CBH will review all submissions and determine next steps based on information submitted.
