Public Information / General Request
Public information includes all data and records held by MIEMSS, regardless of form or format, that are not confidential or otherwise prohibited from public disclosure by law. Any person, including corporations, associations, public interest groups, the news media and private individuals can submit requests for public information using this form.
The Public Information Act:
Maryland's Public Information Act (PIA), grants the public a broad right of access to public records while protecting legitimate governmental interests and the privacy rights of individual citizens. The PIA covers public agencies and officials in Maryland and includes all branches of state government (legislative, judicial, and executive).
