1. Cancer must be the principal focus, or a significant component of the conference. Priority will go to those conferences whose area of focus is concordant with the Cancer Center Strategic Plan.
2. The conference should provide the opportunity for a considerable measure of recognition for the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
3. Cancer Center members should be participating in the conference. Conferences where Cancer Center members are in leadership or organizational positions will receive a more favorable consideration.
4. Conferences with a greater degree of cost-sharing with other entities (outside of registration fees) will receive greater consideration for Cancer Center support.
5. Generally, a maximum of $5,000 will be provided in support of conferences with a significant cancer focus. In special circumstances, a maximum of $10,000 will provided to those conferences with a predominant focus on a cancer-related theme or topic.
