Candidate Questionnaire

Our grooming rooms have webcams that are publicly viewable. Please explain how you would handle a difficult grooming dog considering the fact that the cameras are always on. (And everything always appears worse on camera).

A grooming dog comes in that is matted and neglected by the owner. How would you discuss this with the owner?

For example, are you in school, would like to be in school, are career focused, etc.?

For example, we planned to provide you with a bather, but that person does not show up. We do our best to get a handler to help when possible, but it's not what you expected and your work load is heavy. How do you respond?

Have you ever groomed in a salon setting?

You ended up with an extra doodle that wasn't put on the schedule and you are feeling a little stressed about time. You feel like you have been running behind all day. What do you do/say?

You worked your four days this week and you have the day off. But another groomer has an emergency and a full book of clients. You don't have any plans today. Would you help him/her out? What would you suggest?

You're waiting for your first grooming client of the day. The daycare staff is slammed with incoming dogs. What could you do in the meantime?

You worked on a dog that was difficult, and in the end, the haircut was not ideal. The customer is dissatisfied. Please talk to him.

Please attach resumes and/or other documents if you would like. (optional)
