Energize NC Survey

Energize NC, a coalition led by the State Energy Office, NC Department of Environmental Quality and the NC Clean Energy Fund, is applying for the EPA’s Solar for All funding. The program is being designed as a statewide effort and seeks to give unprecedented clean energy access for low-income households that historically have not had access to these programs. Energize NC plans to design programs that have the greatest impact with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, lessening energy burdens, and improving quality of life. These programs include: solar for single family homes, solar for multi-family buildings, and community solar/energy storage projects partnered with utilities. Energy efficiency will also be a component of the program when applicable. For more information on the developing program see NC Solar for All description on DEQ website.

To be successful, the Energize NC program will need partners in many areas that can assist with community education and outreach, environmental justice, technical assistance, program design, workforce development and other key deployment needs. We seek your partnership in implementing this program.
