Safety Devices*

Inspect and verify all safety devices, light curtains, proximity sensors, limit switches, and E-Stops, are all functioning properly, securely mounted, and not in need of any repair. Clean as needed.

Cutting Head Protective Mirror*

Inspect the protective mirror to ensure that it is clean. If dirty then clean the protective lense with isopropyl alcohol. (Refer to page 2 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Capacitor Head*

Inspect the capacitor head checking the ceramic rings, SMA wires, SMA pins, preamplifiers for looseness and foreign bodies. Tighten anything that is loose and clean all surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. (Refer to page 3 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Dust Cover and Hexagonal Guide Rail*

Inspect the accordion dust cover making sure that it is cleaned and that it is in tact. Clean and oil the hexagonal guide rail. (Refer to Page 3 in the Maintenance Guide.)

Oil Water Separator Purge*

Open and purge the 3 oil water separators that don’t have automatic valves. 2 immediately after the suction dryer and one by the dust collector. Drain the rear gas storage tank as well. (Refer to page 17 & 18 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Gas Regulators *

Examine the gas regulators for the supply gases. Make sure the supply gas pressures and flow rates are within the recommended range. Adjust the regulators as necessary.

Distilled Water Level*

Check the distilled water level and condition. If the distilled water is below the green on the sight glass while the machine is running then add more distilled water until it is in the green while it is running. If you find any contaminates the distilled water then it needs to be drained and replaced. (Refer to page 14 of the Maintenance Manual)

General Overview*

Inspect the machine for any damages, leaks, or anything out of the ordinarily. Make sure machine has been properly cleaned and that there is no build up of debris, scrap material, used consumables, etc.. anywhere. Remove any unnecessary tools or equipment from laser or surrounding area.

Operators Panel*

Clean The operators panel and computer station with Simple Green. Check for proper function.

Automatic Oil Pump*

Inspect the oil level and add as needed. Inspect the pressure gauge and make sure that the system is not under an abnormal amount of pressure. Empty the used oil container as needed. (Refer to page 6 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Dust Collection Ducting*

Inspect the dust collection ducting to make sure it is properly attached to the dust collector as well as the Laser cabinet. Inspect the ducting to make sure there is no damage or holes in it. (Refer to page 25 of the Maintenance Guide)

Resonator Air Conditioning Screen*

Remove the resonator air conditioning screen, inspect to make sure it is still in tact, blow out with low pressure compressed air. (Refer to page 4 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Air Source End Filter Element*

Check the filter element at the air source for contamination. If there is contamination, clean and replace filter element. (Refer to page 8 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Proportional Valve End Filter Element*

Check filter element at the proportional valve end for contamination. If contaminated clean if you can. Replace if needed. (Refer to page 9 of the Maintenance Guide.)

Cold Dryer Radiator*

Clean the dust off of the radiator and the cooling fins of the air compressor cold dryer with compresses air. (Refer to page 19 of the Maintenance Guide)

Air Compressor Air Filter*

Remove and clean the air compressor air filter with compressed air. Blow compressed air from the inside going out until cleaned. Clean out the air filter housing before reinstalling the air filter. (Refer to page 18 of the Maintenance Guide)

Z-Axis Ball Screw Assembly*

Wipe down the Z-Axis ballscrew and assembly with a rag that is damp with simple green. When finished lightly lubricate with provided lubricant. (Refer to page 7 of the maintenance Manual)

Dust Collector Waste Bin*

Wipe down the Z-Axis ballscrew and assembly with a rag that is damp with simple green. When finished lightly lubricate with provided lubricant. (Refer to page 7 of the maintenance Manual)

Electrical Cabinet Air Filters*

Remove and clean the 8 ventilation fans and filters that feed the electrical cabinet. Clean filters with compressed air or with warm water. Let filter dry before reinstalling. Reinstall when finished.

Connections and Fittings*

Examine all of the hoses, cables, leads, and fittings that connect the system components. Look for: kinks, cracks, cuts, frays, and bulges. Replace any hose, cable, or lead that you find damage or excessively worn. Tighten any loose fittings or plugs that are found.
