General Manager Compensation Plan*

General Managers earn a commission on every registration sold, and collected bar sponsor revenue. GMs pay grows as CLUBWAKA grows!

Stay Connected with a Flexible Schedule*

GMs provide in-person, email, social media, and phone customer service to players, volunteers, team captains, sponsor partners, and CLUBWAKA staff. This means a super flexible schedule but there is work on some nights and weekends. Attendance at league nights, tournaments, and parties is required. General Managers must attend meetings with their League and Social Managers, the Talent Development team, and other local staff and partners. The job takes between 5-15 hours a week and varies based on the cycle of a team.

A Week in the Life of a General Manager*

GMs provide proactive customer service, internally to CLUBWAKA staff and externally to players and local, regional, and national partners. Every league needs a place to play and party! The GM will work with their staff (if applicable) to secure facility and bar partner contracts. CLUBWAKA partners locally, regionally, and nationally with sponsors to deliver an awesome experience to our players. GMs work to secure and activate sponsorships locally. More people = more fun! The GM is responsible for retaining and growing their leagues using: - Face to face promotions (bar crawls, working promotional booths at events, being a CLUBWAKA brand ambassador, etc) - Social media marketing and communications - Flyering - Collaborating and growing relationships with local bar, sponsor, charity, and corporate team partners Drinking Responsibly + Leading an Inclusive Community CLUBWAKA wants everyone to have a good time, but that comes with making sure our community is safe and welcoming.

Training

All CLUBWAKA staff must complete required training for their role and to stay compliant with state and federal employment law. GM training requires completing Harassment and Concussion training (two, 15-60 minute online courses) within 45 days of the date of hire. A training schedule and requirements are assigned by the Talent Development Team, and are ongoing throughout the tenure of employment.

Interviews are hosted after regular business hours, every month, on the: 1st and 3rd Wednesday 2nd and 4th Tuesday
