Educational Leadership

Our school counseling and school adjustment counseling programs will give you the skills you need for a career as a public school counselor.

Preschool or Community Programs

We offer  two undergraduate degrees for students looking to work with children outside of the public K-12 system, including private child cares and preschools, camps, museums and community programs.


In addition, our educational studies minor is available to undergraduate students from any major who is interested in education but not pursuing a teaching license.

Our master's degree in Higher Education in Student Affairs is designed for people who plan to pursue a career working in a college or university setting in the area of student affairs, a profession focused on promoting college student success and learning outside of the classroom.

Administrative Requests (Faculty Only)

To Book/Reserve a Classroom or Space, indicate the day, time, location, and number of persons the request needs to accommodate. Additionally, if there are any preferences, please indicate those as well.

Student Concerns

If this is an academic concern, please issue an alert/case on Navigate. A Salem State staff member will reach out to the student.


For concerns about a student's progress in an Education program or field placement, please submit a Case Report form and the case will be discussed at the next Student Case Review Team (SCR) meeting to potentially design an intervention to support the student.


If you are concerned about a student's health or wellbeing (e.g., mental/physical health, housing/food insecurity, safety concerns), please submit a Care and Concern referral and a Case Worker from the SSU Care and Concern Team will reach out to the student.

Course Registration

Course Substitutions

This portal is for undergraduate students who wish to substitute a course in the Salem State curriculum with another Salem State course due to previously demonstrated proficiency in the subject area.

Changing Your Major, Minor, or Concentration

Undergraduate students can log onto Navigator to change their major/minor/concentration. Please see detailed instructions on this page.


Graduate students who wish to change from one academic program to another academic program must formally both withdraw from their current program and apply to the new program.

To assist with licensure and endorsement inquiries, please include your MEPID number in the description box below. You can find your MEPID above your name on your ELAR account.

SEI Endorsement Request
