MWNS 2017/18 - Referral Form
Merton Winter Night Shelter is open from Monday 27th Nov '17 to Sunday 11th March '18.
Please note that the Shelter project is run by volunteer teams in various locations around the borough. A sleeping mat, sleeping bag, evening meal, breakfast and a warm welcome are provided. Guests are accommodated in one open space that is shared by all.
The location of the Shelter changes each night and venues are only able to accommodate guests from opening time in the early evening until just after breakfast in the morning. Guests must be signed in by 8pm and if leaving before breakfast will not be readmitted.
Assessments will be held when there are vacancies in the Shelter and the criteria for guests is:
- over 18 years of age
- low level support needs
- able to manage in a group setting
The Shelter staff will contact applicants as and when there are vacancies, on a first come, first served basis. Applicants will then be invited to attend an assessment which will determine if a place is offered or not.
