March 16, 2022 – Building Brains through Early Language: A Focus on Partnership, Culture, and Families May 9, 2022 – Building Brains through Early Language: A Focus on Social-Emotional Health and Multilingual Learning Location: Rolling Hills Casino Resort, Banquet Room, 2655 Everett Freeman Way, Corning, CA 96021 Session Times: Afternoon Session – 1:30-4:00 p.m. Evening Session – 4:30-7:00 p.m. Each session includes the following learning components: 1. A pre-assignment to be completed prior to attending the event 2. In-person learning event hosted by WestEd, Tehama County Department of Education, and First 5 Tehama 3. Strategies to practice and try in the classroom 4. Zoom after-session to share, reflect, and discuss strategies used (Note this Zoom link will be emailed to the email address provided on your registration form.) Participants who complete all components of the session may apply for a $200 stipend. Training participants will also receive food during the in-person training and a tool kit of materials and supplies (for both teacher and students) to support the strategies discussed in the training.
