Please state the number of Grower and Processor licenses Applicant intends to apply for from the State of Michigan. Please note that Applicant is required to have a City of Detroit Business License for each state operating license obtained.

Community Outreach Notification Statement

A Community Outreach notification statement will be prepared summarizing how many jobs the Applicant anticipates will be available, and where the Applicant will post job listings. This notification will be sent electronically to residents of the Council District where this business is applying for a license. Business addresses are NOT included in the community notification.

Adult Use Licensees are required to commit to a “Good Neighbor Plan,” indicating the applicant’s annual commitment to the community in which the adult-use marijuana establishment will be located.


Please select one of the following commitments for the first license year:


1. Maintaining at least 50% of full-time employees who are Detroit residents or have a prior controlled substance record, for jobs paying at least $15 an hour; or


2. A Retailer either purchasing and displaying Detroit resident owned brands developed under a CRA management agreement, or,

purchasing and displaying products from a Detroit licensed Processor or Grower, at least two times in each month of the license year; or


3. A Grower or Processor making one out of every four METRC transactions in Detroit to licensed Equity Retailer destinations in Detroit; or


4. A Processor in a CRA approved management agreement with a Detroit resident owned brand that produces and distributes to licensed Retailers in Detroit for the brand at least two times in each month of the license year; or


5. Donating annually a minimum of one quarter of one percentage point (.25%) of the licensee’s annual gross sales to a duly organized Detroit-headquartered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, or to the Homegrown Social Equity Fund established by the City of Detroit for the purpose of funding social equity initiatives, and substance use prevention programs.
