UM OSRP Proposal Narrative Review Request Form
The name of the Principal Investigator or Project Director of the proposed program. The requestor.
The department, center, institute, or other administrative or academic unit from which the PI will be submitting the proposal.

The name of the specific grant program or opportunity being applied to.
The date after which the sponsor will no longer accept proposals.
A target date is not a deadline--proposals are still accepted after the target date.
Including F&A/overhead/indirect costs. Give estimated UM portion of budget only for multi-institutional proposals.
** Advanced Notice
refers to the minimum amount of time typically required between the date reviewers are contacted to schedule (the first) review, and the date the proposal needs to be submitted to the sponsor. Even more advanced notice time will generally lead to better results.
&& Turnaround Time
refers to amount of time between when the proposal is received by the reviewer or reviewing org, and when the proposer can expect to have the review returned.
$$ Cost to Requesting PI or Unit(s)
refers to the amount the PI (in combination with their academic unit or units) is expected to contribute to the cost of the review, unless @@other arrangements have been made with ORSP RD. The full cost of the review is greater than this, with ORSP contributing, on average, 1/3 of the total cost.

ORSP will generally cover the full cost of external reviews for qualifying IDRUM Strike Teams proposals, NSF CAREER proposals, and NIH R01 proposals.

PIs who are requesting a TIG External Disciplinary Expert Review have the option of suggesting disciplinary experts they believe are qualified to review draft proposals.

PIs may also designate individuals they would like to EXCLUDE from TIG consideration as reviewers of proposal drafts.
