We are delighted you are interested in serving as an off-site Clinical Preceptor for the Emory University Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Center (WOCNEC).


The information requested below is required to meet accreditation standards. You will note all the eligibility requirements are listed first to avoid wasted efforts if you are not currently eligible.

Minimum requirement is Bachelor's.

Must have current WOCNCB certification in the specialty in which you precept.

Clinical Experience*

Minimum 1 year of full time specialty practice post WOCNCB certification for each specialty in which you precept.

Preceptor Experience*

Evidence of prior preceptor or clinical nursing educator experience. Any precepting counts, e.g., new nursing staff, nursing students, co-workers, etc. - it does not need to be specific to wound, ostomy, or continence.

Have you Completed a Preceptor Workshop or Course?*

Completion of a preceptor workshop or other structured learning program that included principles of adult learning, critical teaching strategies, and clinical evaluation methodology.
