Mayo Clinic Building Lighting Requests
Mayo Clinic Lighting Program Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a lighting partner with the Mayo Clinic Lighting Program.
Non-profit health and wellness-related organizations have the opportunity to request that Mayo Clinic buildings be lit with a specific color(s) to heighten awareness of their medical conditions or disease-specific causes.
Lighting requests should be made at least 30 days before your requested date to have the building lit.
Terms of Agreement:
- Lighting approval is the sole discretion of Mayo Clinic and each Mayo Clinic site.
- While Mayo Clinic appreciates applicants’ interest in being selected as lighting partners, not all requests can be accepted.
- Lighting will last for one evening.
- Applying to become a Mayo Clinic lighting partner does not guarantee approval.
- Previous acceptance as a Mayo Clinic lighting partner does not guarantee future approval.
- A group or cause may request one lighting dedication for one evening per calendar year.
- Only the official applicant/contact on the original submitted application will receive written notification stating application approval or denial.
- Lighting is only done when deemed safe by Mayo Clinic’s Facilities Team. This might vary from site to site.
- In Rochester, lighting will only occur on the carillon tower of the Plummer Building; other Mayo Clinic buildings may not be lit.
- Signs promoting the lighting or related events are not allowed on Mayo Clinic’s campus.
- Materials promoting the lighting must be approved by Mayo Clinic’s Community Relations team.
