Workers’ Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance

  • $100,000 bodily injury each accident
  • $500,000 bodily injury by disease policy limit
  • $100,000 bodily injury by disease each employee


Commercial General Liability Insurance

  • Minimum $1,000,000, per occurrence, for coverages
  • Bodily Injury, including death &;
  • Property Damage; $2,000,000 aggregate


Business Automobile Liability Insurance

  • All owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles with a minimum combined single limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence; $2,000,000 aggregate

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP)

NABCEP Certificate with proof of registration of listed organization on NABCEP Certified Locator List, found at http://www.nabcep.org/certified-installer-locator, and documentation such as W-2 showing that NABCEP certificate holder is employed by your company (Form 1099s are not acceptable)

City Contractor Registration

If work is conducted within the city limits of the City of New Braunfels (“CoNB”) or the City of Schertz, the contractor must be registered as a contractor with the respective entity.

  1. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Electrical Contractor License;
  2. Master Electrician License and documentation such as W-2 showing that Master Electrician license holder is employed by your company;
  3. Certificate of Insurance with minimum levels met for each type (Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance, Commercial General Liability Insurance, Business Automobile Liability Insurance);
  4. NABCEP Certificate with proof of registration of listed organization on NABCEP Certified Locator List, and documentation such as W-2 showing that NABCEP certificate holder is employed by your company (Form 1099s are not acceptable);
  5. Proof of Contractor Registration (City of New Braunfels and/or City of Schertz)
  6. The Participating Solar Contractor Handbook Acknowledgement Form, signed by an authorized person to conduct business and to bind the company; and
  7. The Participating Solar Contractor Code of Conduct Acknowledgement Form signed by an authorized person to conduct business and to bind the company.
