Troop Disbandment Notice

Use this form to report information regarding your troop disbandment to GSSNV. Troops should pay for renewal of continuing girls if near the Girl Scout new year and consider a last fun activity for girls in the troop. When a troop disbands, unused Girl Scout funds become the property of the troop's Service Unit. Prior to disbanding, the girls may decide to donate any unused funds to their Service Unit, another troop or toward girl activities including take actions projects. Gift cards and/or monetary funds may never be given directly to Girl Scouts or outside organizations. When closing a troop account, be sure all checks and other debts have cleared the account before you close the account and realize that you may have to close the account in person. Turn in remaining funds via final money order or cashier check to the Service Unit before closing the account. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring the troop bank account is closed.

Can a Service Unit Team Member, GSSNV Membership Support Team Member or GSSNV Recruitment Team Member be of assistance in avoiding this troop disbandment?
