To ensure the highest quality standards in testing and calibration, we are pleased to announce a complimentary (free) proficiency testing (PT) program for laboratories in GSO Member States that perform testing on paints. This program is conducted in collaboration with Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR), a KOLAS-accredited PT provider.

Proficiency Testing Scheme in the Field of Paints

Encouraged testing method*:

  • ASTM D 3335 (Standard Test Method for Low Concentrations of Lead, Cadmium, and Cobalt in Paint by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy).

OR

  • KS M 5985:2008 (Method for determining low concentrations of Lead, Cadmium and Cobalt in paints – Atomic absorption spectroscopy).

*NOTE Any testing method can be used (we suggest using your usual testing method): ‘Encouraged testing method’ is only given as a suggestion.
