Community Assistance Team Project

The Community Assistance Team is a pilot project with the Canadian Red Cross, BC & Yukon Emergency Management Team.


The project aims to assist communities in increasing their disaster resilience by partnering on community led response planning and preparedness initiatives. The Community Assistance Team works collaboratively with the community and partners to identify, assess, and build an action plan that is tailored to the needs of the community.


The goal of the project is to support local communities with disaster response and preparedness planning and potentially supplement emergency response activities.


This form is the first step in the community application selection process.


The community application selection process will take place from March 13 to April 14, 2023. The Community Assistance Team will contact all communities that have completed this form with further information on next steps.
