The Goals of the Digital Equity Hub Website:

Internet for All

• High-speed internet is available and affordable for all, including rural, low-income, and underserved communities.
• Elimination of "internet deserts" where reliable service is unavailable.
•  Public Wi-Fi access in community spaces such as libraries, schools, and transit hubs.

Digital Devices for All

• Access to affordable or free devices, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones, for all households.
• Subsidized programs to assist low-income families in acquiring necessary technology.
• Technical support and maintenance for devices to ensure usability and longevity.

Digital Literacy for All

• Programs to teach essential digital skills, such as navigating online services, using productivity tools, and ensuring cybersecurity.
• Targeted education for older adults, people with limited English proficiency, and individuals with disabilities.
• Training in advanced digital skills, such as coding, data analysis, and digital marketing to support workforce development.

Accessible Digital Services for All

• Design of digital tools and services that are accessible to people with disabilities (e.g., screen readers, voice recognition).
• Multilingual interfaces and support for people with limited English proficiency
• Culturally relevant digital content and platforms tailored to diverse communities.

Digital Opportunities for All

• Equal access to online education, remote work opportunities, and telehealth services.
• Support for small businesses and entrepreneurs to leverage digital tools for growth.
• Representation of marginalized groups in technology decision-making and leadership.
