FLL Explore FIRST Washington Registration 2022-2023

All teams are required to fill out the FIRST Washington team registration form in order to participate. This is to help us better track the demographic and other information about our teams. FIRST Washington needs this information to apply for grants that we can pass along to you as well as to report back to donors for funds allocated. All teams participating with FIRST Washington will need to fill this out as well as the event registration survey (coming out later in the year) to be placed in an event.

Team Mentor Demographics

Please help answer some questions about volunteer mentors and educators. We consider any adult volunteer or parent volunteer working with your team to be a mentor. There will be a distinction between educators / staff hours and mentor hours. We fully understand that many of the educator hours are actually unpaid volunteer hours. Our use of this information takes that into account. Thank you for your efforts.

How many adults on your team are considered educators, school staff, or paid staff?

How many total hours did all of the educator and staff expend on behalf of your team. Include time with the students, planning time, and waking hours during travel.

How many individual mentors (exclude those in the educator/staff number) work with your team in a significant capacity. Significant capacity means meeting regularly or perhaps doing an important function for the team. Interacting with the team, providing direct logistics support, or working with students to direct part of the project.

For each of your mentors, estimate the number of hours they worked on behalf of your team. Include time with the students, planning time, and waking hours during travel. We are asking for the aggregated number of hours. If one mentor contributed 100 hours, and two mentors contributed 200 hours, then we would expect to see 500 hours reported.
