National One-Stop-Shop for Health and Medical Research: National consultations to commence July 2021

The National One-Stop-Shop will provide a real-time national integrated ICT portal for all health and medical research approvals in Australia. This will benefit research sponsors, patients, consumers, researchers, health service organisations, government and others, and help to position Australia as a preferred location for conducting clinical trials. The consultations will also inform the approach to a national volunteer research participant portal, a National Clinical Trials Front Door.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) collects personal information when the information is necessary for, or directly related to, the Commission’s functions or activities. Your personal information is being requested for the Commission to fulfil its function under legislation. The personal information is required in order for the Commission to contact you about the consultation process for the National One-Stop-Shop and National Clinical Trials Front Door. If you do not provide the requested personal information, the Commission may not be able to provide information to you regarding the national consultation process. All personal information is held securely. The Commission treats all personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (the Act) and the Commission’s Privacy Policy. The Commission does not disclose personal information to other organisations unless it is required to do so under the Australian law or tribunal/court order.
