GSNorCal Advanced CIT/WIT Application 2019
The Advanced Counselor-in-Training (CIT) and Wrangler-in-training (WIT) programs offer high school girls an opportunity to learn leadership and outdoor skills needed to work with girls in a camp setting. During the CIT/WIT program, CIT's will explore the areas of campcraft skills, group dynamics, child development, program planning skills, camp operations and the role of the camp counselor. WITs will spend half of their day in horse country learning the role of riding staff. C/WITs They will also have the opportunity to shadow staff members working in all areas of camp. The training program includes regular hours devoted to workshops, plus actual experience working with children under the supervision of camp staff.
Please submit this application at the same time as your registration for the program. Placements will occur starting in January 2019.
